Watercolours are one of my favourite colouring tools when making an illustration.
The liveliness of the colour when it is in contact with water makes it exciting to work with.
It requires technique and it is a learning process that I am still exploring.
I get inspired by flowers and leaves, or even just an idea in my head that I feel an urge to visualize.
An illustration takes time and precision, especially with watercolours.
By using just the three prime colours, in addition to black and white, I can create any colour and shade.
Experimenting with this teaches me colour theory while I am having fun splashing colours on a paper.
